Police seeking suspect in robbery at parking lot

By The 1 min read

A Uniontown woman was robbed of $27 after she accepted a ride home Thursday evening. Richelle Marilungo, 19, told state police that she was walking on Connellsville Street when a vehicle driven by someone she knew stopped. The man inside, who she did not know by name, offered her a ride, police said.

Marilungo got into the man’s late-model, maroon Pontiac Bonneville, and police said he drove her to the parking lot of the supermarket in Fairchance, which was well beyond her home. In the parking lot, the man made her empty her pockets. After he took the money, police said, the man ordered Marilungo out of the car, and fled toward Route 857.

Police described the man as white, between 30 and 40 years old, with short brown hair. The man is balding on top, police said, and is around 6 feet tall, with a medium building. He was wearing a black leather jacket and blue jeans, police said. Anyone with information can call police at 724-439-7111.
