Fairchance man arrested for alleged assault
GEORGES TWP. – State police arrested a Fairchance man Monday morning for an alleged assault Saturday in Georges Township. State police Trooper Ozzie Mills said Louis Walter Palmer, 62, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Jesse Cramer with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment following an incident involving Kimberly Palmer, also of Fairchance.
Police allege that Louis Palmer assaulted Kimberly Palmer at her home on East Sheldon Avenue at 3:30 p.m. Saturday. Police obtained a warrant for Louis Palmer’s arrest following the alleged attack.
According to Mills, state police took Louis Palmer into custody Monday morning at a location in Fayette County.
Mills said that Kimberly Palmer suffered some injuries in the attack but did not elaborate on their severity. He did note that she is doing well now.
Mills said that Louis Palmer was placed in the Fayette County Prison on $4,500 straight cash bond following his arraignment Monday. A preliminary hearing will be held Feb. 28 before Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham.
Palmer does not have a criminal record.
