Howard J. Workman, Sr., 57, entered into the Gates of Heaven on February 18, 2008, from his home in Rosedale… Howard J. Workman, Sr., 57, entered into the Gates of Heaven on February 18, 2008, from his home in Rosedale surrounded by his family.
He was born in Confluence, Pa., on February 26, 1950, the son of the late Harold Workman and Annabelle Cosner Workman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Earl McFadden and mother-in-law, Hannah McFadden and a sister, Linda Wilson and husband, Robert.
Howard attended various Christian churches and had many Christian friends. He worked at Hillman Barge in Brownsville, Pa. as a welder and fitter for 32 years. He loved to fish and listen to gospel music.
Howard is survived by his faithful wife of 39 years, Elaine McFadden Workman with whom he would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on March 9, 2008. He is also survived by the following sons and their wives: Howard, Jr. and Mindy Workman of Uniontown, Pa., Earl and Gina Workman of Brownsville, Pa. and Rev. Gary and Elizabeth Workman of Uniontown, Pa; nine grandchildren: Amber Workman Dennis and husband, John, Jessica Shears, Charity Workman, Samantha Workman, Courtney Workman, Derek Workman, Dustin Workman, Angel Workman, Faith Workman; one great-grandson, Baron Dennis; the following brothers and sister: Harold Workman and wife, Sandy of Grindstone, Pa., Lowell Workman and wife, Kathy of Smithfield, Pa., Sue Kuhns and husband, Robert of Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, February 21, 2008, until 11 a.m. the hour of service with his son, Earl Workman officiating.
Interment will follow in White Rock Cemetery, Hopwood-Fairchance Road.
