The Centerville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Sunday morning in Richeyville.

Police said a man entered the Get Go service station at 3143 National Pike around 1 a.m. and demanded money from employees.

According to police, the man grabbed an employee and held a pipe to the back of the employee’s head while demanding another worker to open the cash register.

Police said employees noticed the suspect standing outside Get Go prior to the robbery, noting that the man used the pay phone at the service station before entering the building.

According to police, the suspect is described as being a black male, between 6 and 6 foot 2 inches tall.

Police said the man was last seen wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans and black shoes.

Police did not say if the man received money before fleeing the scene on foot.

The suspect was last seen heading in the direction of National Pike, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police at 724-785-9210.
