YOUTH BASEBALL – Registration for Waynesburg Youth Baseball will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 12 – 2 p.m. at Waynesburg Central High School. TALENT SHOW – “Got Talent?”, an area talent show that gives back, will be held on Saturday, Feb. 23 in the Jefferson-Morgan High School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Proceeds to benefit Meals-on-Wheels.
POTATO BAR – The Carmichaels First Methodist Church youth group will be holding a baked potato bar Sunday Feb. 24 at noon. Donations will be accepted.
SOFTBALL SIGNUPS – Waynesburg Girls Softball Association will have signups on Sunday Feb. 24 from 6 – 7 p.m. in the Waynesburg Central High School cafeteria. FISH FRY – The local Auxiliary of the Jefferson Volunteer Fire Company will hold a Fish Fry every Friday through March 14 from 10:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Dine-in, takeout and delivery will be available. Menu will include: Large and small fish sandwiches, baked fish, perogies, shrimp, cole slaw, french fries, cabbage and noodles and desserts.
CHEER CLASSES – Greene County Dept. of Recreation presents Young Champions Cheer Classes for boys and girls ages 4-15 in the 4-H Building at the county fairgrounds every Wednesday evening through May 21 from 6 – 6:45 p.m. For more information, call 724-852-5323 or 1-866-433-7469.
AEROBICS CLASSES – The county Dept. of Recreation’s aerobics classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday in the 4-H Building. Pilates are held at 5 p.m. with aerobics at 6 p.m. For more information, call 724-852-5323.
FISH DINNERS – The Carmichaels Senior Center will hold fish dinners every Friday through March 21, eat-in or take-out, from 4:30 – 7 p.m.
BOOK SIGNING – Chris Valentine will appear at the Bowlby Public Library for a book signing on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 5 – 7 p.m. She will be signing her short story, “Heavenly Town, Inheritance.” Books will be available for purchase. For more information, call 724-627-9776.
BLOOD DRIVE – The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at the Waynesburg Church of the Nazarene on Friday, Feb. 29 from 1 – 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
GRIEF MINISTRY – “Gone From Our Sight” is a grief ministry program that will be offered by Servant Song Ministries on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 7 – 8:30 p.m. It is a time to remember, share, and pray while navigating the turbulent waters of life’s most difficult journey.
