Sellers, 26, was charged with criminal attempted homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated assault while driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol, criminal trespass, simple assault and harassment.

State police in Washington County said the incident began at 11:55 a.m. Friday, when Sellers allegedly sent a text message to Amanda Sellers of Fredericktown.

Police said Amanda Sellers has a protection-from-abuse order against Jonathan Sellers.

Less than three hours later, Jonathan Sellers allegedly violated the order a second time when he entered Amanda Sellers’ residence on South Street, police said. Once inside the home, Amanda Sellers told Jonathan Sellers to leave, police said.

Police allege that Jonathan Sellers then pushed Amanda Sellers, causing bruising to her arm.

At that point, Gaylord Knisely of Millsboro, who also was at the residence, went outside to call police.

Jonathan Sellers then got into his vehicle and allegedly struck Knisely with the car, causing what police described as a “serious leg injury.” Knisely was taken to Mon Valley Hospital for treatment, police said.

After police took Jonathan Sellers into custody, he allegedly punched a trooper in the face while at the state police barracks in Washington.
