Barnhart, King promoted at Waynesburg University

Waynesburg University President Timothy R. Thyreen announced that two university vice presidents have received promotions. The announcement was made during the university’s December faculty meeting. Roy Barnhart was promoted to senior vice president for finance and administration and Robin King has become senior vice president for enrollment and university relations.

Barnhart has been employed with the university since 1985 at which time he served as the business office manager. In 1988 he became the controller and was promoted to chief financial officer in 1991. He became the vice president of business and finance in 1992. He is professionally affiliated with the National Association for College and University Business Officers, Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers and the Member Services Committee of the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania. Barnhart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Business Administration degree from Waynesburg University.

King began employment with Waynesburg University as an admissions counselor in 1986. She became the associate director of admissions in 1988 and was promoted to director of admissions in 1989. In 1996 she became the dean of admissions and served in that position until 2000, at which time she became the vice president for enrollment and marketing. Her professional affiliations include the National Association for College Admissions Counseling, the Pennsylvania Association of Secondary School and College Admissions Counselors, National Association of Christian College Admissions Personnel, and the American Association of College Registers and Admissions Officers. King received a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and a Master of Business Administration degree from Waynesburg University.
