She was born on March 23, 1939, in Confluence, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Thelma Mae (Welsh) Ream and a grandson, Brian Nicola.
Joyce was a member of the First Christian Church in New Salem, Pa. and retired from Highlands Hospital in Connellsville, Pa.
She was survived by her husband, Gerald H. Darrell, Sr. and her children: Sherry Hixson and husband, Gary of Acme, Pa., Pamela Basinger of Uniontown, Pa., Ronald Basinger, Jr., of the State of Calif., Lori Fabian and husband, Edward of White, Pa., Rodney Basinger and wife, Heather of McClellandtown, Pa. and Clara and husband, Joe Dauria; grandchildren: Jamie, Nancy, Michael, Susan, Eddie, Bridget, Jessie, Waylon, Courtney, Trevor, Hunter, Taylor, Kevin, Maria, Elizabeth; and ten great-grandchildren; sisters: Pauline Leslie and husband, Alvin of Fort Hill, Pa., Connie Hillgass and husband, Alan (Hilly) and a brother, George (Bud) Ream and wife, Gloria of Moscow, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends.
Friends will be received at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today, January 9, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, January 10, 2008, until 11 a.m. the hour of Service with Pastors Rufus Peer and Andy Miles.
Entombment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Mausoleum, Uniontown, Pa.
