Man arrested
David Maust, 43, of Uniontown was arrested and placed in Fayette County Prison on two warrants, city police said. Maust was taken into custody at a residence on Gordon Street at 8:48 p.m. Monday after officers received a tip on his whereabouts, police said.

Vehicle accident
City police said Lynn A. Clingan, 43, of Oliver was not injured when the vehicle she was driving crashed on Church Street near Marshall Manor at 8:29 p.m. Monday.

Two cited
City police said William A. Leapline Jr., 40, of Dunbar and Kevin Sprouts, 48, of Uniontown were cited following an incident in Pershing Court around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police said Leapline was cited for driving under the influence and possession of marijuana. Sprouts was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, police said.

Amy Lynn Davis, 35, of Uniontown was cited for public drunkenness following an incident on North Gallatin Avenue at 2:37 a.m. Tuesday, city police reported.

Hit-and-run probed
State police said Erika Lontz, 22, of Wheeling, W.Va., and her passenger, Matthew Steele, 19, of Claysville, were not injured when a tractor-trailer truck hit their vehicle while traveling on Interstate 79 in Greene County and fled the scene at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Police said Lontz’s vehicle sustained damage to the right front corner.

Charges pending
Driving under the influence charges are pending against a 26-year-old Jefferson man who was involved in a one-vehicle accident at the intersection of Third and Short streets at 12:05 a.m. Tuesday, state police said. Police said the man allegedly drove his vehicle off the road, crashing into a fire hydrant. He suffered minor injuries, police said.

Fire investigated
State police said a structure fire that damaged a mobile home in Evergreen Trailer Court in Greene County on Jan. 4 has been deemed accidental. Police said investigation showed the fire was caused by an electrical malfunction in the living room. Police identified the homeowner as being Robert P. Haywood, 38, of Waynesburg.

Vehicle stolen
A vehicle belonging to Cecil Ritenour Jr. of Dilliner was stolen while parked in front of Ritenour’s home on Route 88 in the Riviera Mobile Home Park in Greene County between 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday, state police reported, noting that the keys had allegedly been left in the vehicle.

Woman injured
State police said Regina L. Thompson, 44, sustained a moderate injury after she was thrown from an all-terrain vehicle in the parking lot of Miller’s Yamaha on Connellsville Street around 12:46 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said Thompson and a passenger were riding an ATV to film a commercial in the parking lot of the business when Thompson didn’t negotiate a curve, throwing both of them from the quad.
Police said Thompson hit her head on the pavement, and was initially taken to Uniontown Hospital. She was later transferred to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. Police said the male passenger, who was unidentified, was not injured.

Vehicle damaged
State police in Belle Vernon said that Tara L. Bachna of Hopwood reported that someone threw white paint on her vehicle while it was parked on East Riverside Drive on Monday.

Video game stolen
State police in Belle Vernon said Lindsy Vassar of Brownsville reported that someone stole a video game from her home on Prospect Street on Jan. 1.

Assault report probed
State police in Belle Vernon are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old Mount Pleasant girl by a 28-year-old Ruffsdale man. State police at Greensburg said that the girl’s father brought her to the barracks to report the assault, which allegedly occurred six months ago. Because the alleged assault occurred within Belle Vernon’s area, police there are looking into it, state police said.

School bus accident
There were no injuries reported Tuesday when a vehicle collided with a Connellsville Area School District bus along Quail Hill Road, near the intersection with Buchanan Road.
District transportation director James Lembo said that the 8:45 a.m. accident took place when the bus stopped to pick up a student and the vehicle crashed into the rearend.
Approximately 14 students were on the bus at the time of the accident.
A second bus was dispatched to transport the students to the Bullskin Elementary School.
There was no information about the identity of the driver of the vehicle.
State police and Mutual Aid Ambulance Service responded to the accident.
