CALIFORNIA – Two area men are behind bars after police found them with a hoard of illegal drugs and more than $1,000 cash. California police said Shawn L. Patterson, 23, of Charleroi and Travis J. Gill, 23, of California were each charged before Magisterial District Judge Joshua Kanalis with drug possession, possession with intent to deliver drugs and providing false identification to law enforcement.
According to police, officers stopped the men after the car they were traveling in failed to stop at a stop sign in the borough.
Police said that during the stop, officers recovered a “large amount” of drugs from the vehicle, including crack cocaine, marijuana and other narcotics. Police also said they found $1,760 in the car.

The men were placed in the Washington County Prison on $50,000 straight cash bond.
A preliminary hearing will be held at a later date, according to the police report.
