He was born on October 24, 1930, in Footedale, Pa., son of Domenic and Maria Concetta (Orsini) DeFrank.
The last member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Mary LaPorte and brothers, Joseph, Michael, Anthony and Louis DeFrank.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty years, Elaine (Hunchuck) DeFrank; their children: Jerome DeFrank of Uniontown, Pa, Daniel DeFrank and wife, Rhonda of McClellandtown, Pa, Carla DeFrank and husband, David R. Cook of Ocala, Fla. and Dr. Lisa DeFrank-Cole and husband, Jay Cole of Uniontown, Pa; two grandchildren: Daniel DeFrank, II and Deanna DeFrank; and many nieces and nephews.
Albert was a lifelong member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, a graduate of German Township High School Class of 1949, and served his country with the United States Army during the Korean War. He was employed with ACME Market for 29 years, and was a Fayette County employee for 16 years until retirement. Above all else he was an honest family man and a good provider.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue, Extension, Uniontown, Pa., today January 16, 2008 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, January 17, 2008 until 10:30 a.m., when prayers of transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Therese Roman Catholic Church at 11 a.m. with Rev. Father Leonard Cornelius as Celebrant.
Interment will be held at St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa., where military honors will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47.
