Children’s choir accepting members
The Great Uniontown Children’s Choir will be accepting new members for the 2008 season during January and February. Any interested children may audition Thursday evenings prior to choir rehearsal at 6:15 p.m., beginning Jan. 24.
Marsha Brady, director, said that the students should prepare “The Star-Spangled Banner” for the audition.
The choir will begin rehearsals on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 24 at the Third Presbyterian Church, 425 Union St., Uniontown.
Brady said that the choir has performed in Harrisburg at the state Capitol and the Maryland Children’s Choir Festival. In addition, the choir has performed for annual holiday events at Nemacolin Woodlands, Nemacolin Castle, Christian Klay Winery and private parties.
The choir is open to children in grades four through 12 who like to sing and are from the Fayette/Greene county area.
Boys must have an unchanged voice.
