Uniontown Woman charged
City police said several charges were filed against J’uane Belt, 41, of Uniontown following an incident at Belt’s 32 Hickle St. home Jan. 14. According to police, officers were called to the home after receiving reports of a woman threatening others with a knife. Police said Belt allegedly was involved in a domestic altercation with her 20-year-old son. She was charged with one count each of aggravated assault, simple assault, making terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment.

Man assaulted
Joseph A. Swartz III of Uniontown told police his cousin, David Naugle, 29, of New Salem assaulted him after asking Naugle to leave his 50 W. Main St. apartment at 12:49 a.m. Saturday, city police reported, noting that Swartz suffered visible injuries to his face and body. Naugle was cited for simple assault and harassment, police said.

City police said Vincent Fordyce, 38, of Uniontown was charged with retail theft after he allegedly stole walkie-talkies from Rite Aid around 10 a.m. Friday.

Items stolen
A roll of copper wire and a 9- by 7-foot aluminum garage door was stolen from a garage located at 147 Lincoln St. between 8 p.m. Thursday and 8:30 a.m. Friday, city police reported.

City police said Emanuel Lopez, 18, of Uniontown was cited at 4:38 p.m. Friday after he allegedly left the scene of a vehicle accident.

Vehicles collide
No one was injured when vehicles driven by Derek M. Pocratsky, 29, of Uniontown and Billy Arbuckle, 35, of Uniontown collided near the entrance to Laurel Eye Clinic at 4:58 p.m. Friday, city police said.

Man cited
City police said Mark Tankalavage, 19, of Lemont Furnace was cited Saturday for disorderly conduct and harassment for his alleged involvement in domestic altercation that occurred Dec. 24.

Fence damaged
City police said a white vinyl fence located at 30 E. Main St. was reported damaged at 2:27 p.m. Saturday. Police said the fence is owned by Commercial Center Associates of Uniontown.

Lisa Ann Mazurek of New Salem reported the rear window of her vehicle was broken sometime Friday night while parked on Filbert-Orient Road, state police said.

Vehicle accident
State police said no one was injured when a vehicle driven by Donna L. Garry, 32, of Monongahela crashed on Interstate 70 after a tire blew out at 11:10 a.m. Saturday. Police said two girls, ages 2 and 4, were in the vehicle when the accident occurred.

Pursuit ended
Township police said officers were involved in a vehicle pursuit after spotting a suspicious vehicle on Steel Street in Republic at 9:40 p.m. Saturday. Police said the vehicle fled and was last seen traveling on Academy Road in Luzerne Township when the pursuit was called off. Police described the vehicle as being a dark, small compact vehicle, possibly a two-door hatchback.

Woman injured
State police said Patricia A. Padgelek, 60, of Ruffsdale suffered minor injuries after being involved in a one-vehicle accident in Westmoreland County around 8 a.m. Friday. Police said Padgelek’s vehicle struck a utility pole.
