James W. Collins, age 62, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday morning, January 19, 2008, in the Uniontown Hospital.

He… James W. Collins, age 62, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Saturday morning, January 19, 2008, in the Uniontown Hospital.

He was born on January 1, 1946, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Patrick Collins and Hazel Willis Collins.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

James was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 and American Legion Post 51 both in Uniontown, Pa., and the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pa.

He loved to play/shoot pool and also enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Ellen Moser, his brother, William Collins, and his step-father, Sam Ellsworth.

“Jim” is survived by his loving daughters: Sonja Lane and her husband, Johnson, of Temecula, California, and Jamie Anderson of Colorado; two granddaughters: Morgan Lane and Madison Lane; and a grandson, Trevor Anderson.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Joseph Collins of Uniontown, Pa., Vincent Collins of California state, Elmer “Sparky” Collins of Uniontown, Pa., Fay Moser of California state and Patty Hicks of Indiana state; several loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, January 21, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, January 22, 2008, until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Charles O’Brien officiating.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown.

Military Honors will be accorded at graveside.
