He was born August 29, 1927, in Denbo, Pennsylvania, son of Della Mae (Walters) Huey and William Ransom Huey.
Wilbur was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of American Legion Post 940 and The Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice E. Patterson Huey, two sons, Wilbur R. Huey Jr. and Edward A. Huey, two sisters, Maxine Martin and Charlotte Rankin, and two brothers, Gerald K. Huey and Barry R. Huey.
He will be sadly missed by his four children: Vanessa Baumgardner and husband Dave, Denbo, Pa., William Huey Sr. and wife Anita, Brownsville, Pa., Kimberly Hartley and husband Ricky, Coal Center, Pa., and Barry Huey and wife Colleen, Brownsville, Pa.; a sister, Carol Johnson and husband Glen, California, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, January 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Watts officiating.
Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania, where Military Honors and Rites will be accorded by the American Legion posts 940, 838 and 295.
