By The 1 min read

Firefighters from Masontown Volunteer Fire Department spent several hours Sunday fighting a fire that left a local family without a home. A spokeswoman for Fayette County 911 said a home on Cottage Avenue was destroyed by the blaze, which occurred around 4 p.m.

No injuries were reported, according to 911.

Officials said an adult woman and children were living in the home. The family was not identified as of deadline Sunday night.

No further information was available.
