She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Salvi and George Richard Harris, grandson, Michael Thomas McCray, brother, Michael Lewis Harris and half-sister, Barbara Jean (Harris) Sims.
Georgetta was a long time member of John Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church in Uniontown, Pa., where she held various positions; Sunday School Secretary, Church Clerk, Trustee Board, Steward Board, Junior and Senior Missionary and Junior Choir.
Georgetta is survived by four children: sons, Craig (Tamara) Harris of Uniontown, Pa., Clyde (Bonnietta) Harris of Philadelphia, Pa., daughters, Clyda (Phillip) Thomas and Lana (Richard) Settles, both of Uniontown, Pa.; three grandchildren: Jarel and Zachary Settles and Amber Jo Pitts, all of Uniontown, Pa.; one sister, Anita Powell of Stockton Calif.; 11 brothers: Clifford (JoAn) Harris, Burnell, Jerry and Garry Harris, all of Uniontown, Pa., Russell Salvi of Stockton, Calif., James (Carole) Salvi of Philadelphia, Pa., George (Ernestine) Harris of Allison Park, Pa., Roger (Erika) Harris of Fairchance, Pa., Jay (Leann) Harris of Federal Way, Wash., Barry Salvi and Harlan Harris, both of Washington, DC; one half-sister, Mary Katherine (Charles) Gibson of Willinboro, N.J.; four half-brothers; Richard (Lillian) Harris of Connecticut, Lewis (Dee) Harris and Mattathias (Kim) Harris, both of Uniontown, Pa., and Charles Harris, of Pittsburgh, Pa. Also left to cherish the memory of Georgetta Harris are her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends will be received for viewing in the MURIEL LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., 15401, from 5 to 9 p.m., on Friday, February 1, 2008. Services will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 11 a.m. in John Wesley A.M.E. Zion Church, 349 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., 15401. Bishop Leonard Tucker will officiate.
