Anna Marie Pugh Kingan, 92 years, of Smithfield, Pa., passed away and went to be with her Savior and Lord… Anna Marie Pugh Kingan, 92 years, of Smithfield, Pa., passed away and went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 6, 2008.
She was born October 12, 1915, in Marianna, Pa., the daughter of Andrew R. Pugh and Nellie Robinson Pugh.
“Marie” was a member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Smithfield and The Victory Sunday School Class and a former member of the Smithfield Colonials.
She was predeceased by her parents, by her husband of 62 years, Wilbert H. “Wib” Kingan, three sisters, Pauline Lyons, Mildred Cimmello and Edna Ciekala, and daughter-in-law, Carolyn Kingan.
Surviving are her son, Charles Edwin Kingan and friend Thelma Thoburn of Canton, Ohio; grandchildren: Debbie Fricke, Winchester, Virginia, Richard Kingan and wife Gretchen, Gaithersburg, Maryland, Dale Kingan and wife Michelle, Kearneysville, West Virginia; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandson; brothers: Carl Pugh and wife Emma and Junior Pugh and wife June both of Morgantown, West Virginia, Arlie Pugh, Las Vegas, Nevada, Eugene Pugh and wife Irmadell, Morgantown, West Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, July 10, 2008, from 12 Noon until 1:30 p.m. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Jay Hurley officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania.
