Fast-paced action and adventure lay ahead for area youth as the Hatfield Ferry Lutheran Parish hosts “Jesus to the Rescue”, the annual vacation Bible school of Jacob’s Lutheran Church, Masontown and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Carmichaels. Fast-paced action and adventure lay ahead for area youth as the Hatfield Ferry Lutheran Parish hosts “Jesus to the Rescue”, the annual vacation Bible school of Jacob’s Lutheran Church, Masontown and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Carmichaels. Slated for 6-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 16, through Friday, July 18, at Jacob’s Lutheran Church, students will set out each day on exciting explorations of some of the Bible’s most daring real-life rescues.

Registration is now underway to recruit search and rescue mission team members from pre-school through teens by calling VBS Rescue Team Commander Mildred Klein at 724-438-0945 or 724-880-1895.

The Hatfield Ferry Lutheran Parish invites all area children to come and enjoy the daily VBS activities, which will include group songs, Bible stories for each age group, prayer, crafts, recreation, and snacks. Special arrangements will be made for those who require transportation from Carmichaels to Masontown.

As a special bonus night, a VBS finale will be held for the kids at an ice cream social and hymn sing to be held at Jacob’s Lutheran for the benefit of Relay for Life, from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, July 19.
