Nurse aide program offered by WCCC
The Greene County Education Center of Westmoreland County Community College is conducting a Nurse Aide Program starting Thursday, July 17 at the center in Waynesburg. The Greene County Education Center of Westmoreland County Community College is conducting a Nurse Aide Program starting Thursday, July 17 at the center in Waynesburg.
The one-month program will provide students with the skills needed to function as a nursing assistant in a long-term care facility. The curriculum meets federal government guidelines and includes 56 hours of lecture and 40 hours of clinical practice.
Classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Greene County Education Center located in EverGreene Technology Park in Franklin Township.
Students must complete a Pennsylvania Criminal Record report and a physical exam prior to enrollment.
Upon successful completion, students will be eligible to sit for the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification Exam.
There is a cost for tuition and materials.
