Volunteers needed Volunteers are needed to deliver meals to the homebound through the Uniontown Senior Citizens Center. Anyone who can spare an hour to volunteer is asked to call 724-437-6050, extension 2243.

Health Pacer

The Senior Citizens Center Primetime Health Pacer for the month of June was Julius Franks. Julius walked 610 laps (or 18 miles).

The Pacers walked a total of 1,660 laps or an equivalent of 49 miles.

State Theatre for the Arts

A production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ will be presented this month at the State Theatre for the Arts, Main Street, Uniontown. Performances are July 25 and July 26 at 7 p.m. and July 27 at 2 p.m.

Summer Family Walking

The Fayette County Healthy Lifestyles is sponsoring a summer walking program throughout Fayette County.

On Wednesday, a scavenger hunt will be held at the Friendship Hill Historic site, New Geneva. Those taking part are to meet at the visitor’s center.

All walks are held on Wednesdays and begin at 6:30 p.m.

On July 23, the walk will be at Mount St. Macrina. Meet at the main parking lot.

Hudak family reunion

The Hudak family reunion will be held July 19 at Deb and Bill’s residence in Smithfield starting at 1 p.m. Those attending are to bring a covered dish and adult and children prizes.

Get-well wishes are sent to Willie and John McKnight, Turner Trimbath, Logan Holbert, Kay Homistek and Dorey Liptak.
