Criminal mischief Angel Grey of Mt. Morris reported to state police that an unknown suspect damaged a door and two windows at her house on Mt. Morris Road at approximately 2:17 a.m. July 9. Police said the investigation is ongoing.

One-vehicle accident

State police said a vehicle driven by Whitney Riley, 21, of Carmichaels was involved in a one-vehicle crash that occurred on Garards Fort Road in Franklin Twp. at 10:05 a.m. July 8. Riley was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., for treatment of injuries, police said.

Copper wire stolen

State police said sometime between 2:30 and 6 a.m. July 8 someone entered the Alicia Harbor facility of Foundation Coal Co. in Monongahela Twp. and removed welding leads and spools and copper wire. The items stolen belonged to Lincoln Contracting of Boswell, Pa., police said.

Two injured

State police in Waynesburg said Gloria I. Coger, 63, of Greensboro, lost control of her 1994 Ford Windstar van on Rt. 18 in Freeport Twp. at about 10 a.m. July 4 and struck a guide rail and a bridge.

Both Coger and a 12-year-old female passenger suffered minor injuries.

Keys taken

State police in Waynesburg said Nancy Secilia, 46, of Mather, reported someone stole a set of keys and a GPS system from her vehicle while it was parked on Fifth Street in Morgan Twp. between approximately midnight and 7:30 a.m. July 11.

Copper wire stolen

Allegheny Power in Washington reported to state police in Waynesburg that someone cut through the perimeter fence and stole approximately 175 feet of copper wire from the Allegheny Power Substation, located on Hill Schoolhouse Road in Franklin Twp., sometime between 12 p.m. June 27 and 9:30 a.m. July 7.

Woman charged

State police in Waynesburg said Tiffany Nicole Bogumit-Smith, 23, of Waynesburg, was stopped at 2:46 p.m. July 11 along Rt. 21 in Franklin Twp. for driving erratically after forcing a couple of vehicles off the roadway and driving on the berm.

She was found to be under the influence of prescription pills and was arrested for DUI, driving under suspension and numerous other traffic violations, according to police.

Report issued

The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement inspected 734 establishments in Fayette, Greene, Washington, Westmoreland, Allegheny and Beaver counties during June and conducted eight age-compliance checks, police said. Officers issued 32 citations for liquor law violations and 22 written warnings. Police said 24 people also were charged for underage drinking and five criminal arrests were logged.

Vehicle recovered

State police said a Ford Thunderbird that had been reported stolen by Georgia Stiles of Carmichaels was recovered July 12 in Cumberland Twp.

Thefts investigated

State police said items were stolen from vehicles parked on various roads throughout Cumberland Twp., including Ceylon Road, Maple Street, Route 88, Cross Street and Nemacolin Road, between 1 and 4 a.m. July 12.

Police investigate

State police said they are searching for a 14-year-old boy who allegedly ran away from a location on Hunting Hills Road in Monongahela Township at 6:30 p.m. July 12.

Police said the boy, who was not identified, was last seen wearing green and black swimming trunks, with no shirt and no shoes. He is described as black, about 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 116 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-627-6151.

Citation filed

Christopher Donkers of Fredericktown was cited for harassment after he allegedly pushed Michael Kromar of Cambridge, Ohio, during an altercation at a business in Cumberland Twp. at 3:02 p.m. July 13, state police said.

Charges to be filed

State police said a charge of harassment will be filed against a Dilliner man accused of striking Teresa Cole in the head at a location in Dunkard Twp. at 7:25 a.m. July 15.

Teens cited

State police said three teenagers were cited for criminal mischief after they damaged mailboxes on Sugar Run Road in Franklin Twp. at 4:30 a.m. July 12.

Theft reported

State police said tools owned by Thomas Tedrow were stolen from his business on Browns Creek Road in Franklin Twp. between 7 p.m. July 14 and 7 a.m. July 15. Tedrow told police an emergency towing light bar and a number of other items – including rachet straps and tow hooks – were taken from his tow trucks. The items stolen were valued at $1,200, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-627-6151.

Man cited

Brandon William Hetrick of Greensboro was cited with criminal trespass following an incident on property on Stoney Hill Road owned by Lisa Miller of North Union Twp., Fayette County, between 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. July 14, state police said.
