She was born in 1917 in Lynn, Pennsylvania.
Helen was a woman ahead of her time! Along with her husband, Edward, she opened and successfully ran and operated Golembiewski Beer Distributor in Masontown for twenty years.
Her husband, Edward, died in 1973.
In 1973, Helen moved to North Carolina to live with her son, Joseph. For over twenty years, she was his best salesperson in his furniture business.
Helen was a woman of deep faith, with a keen business mind and a strong work ethic.
She will be greatly missed by her Sons: Joseph, Cary, North Carolina, and Edward and his wife Connie, Severna Park, Maryland; by her four Grandchildren; Sisters and Brothers: Anna Marie Morris, Marcella Lucketti, Eleanor Galica, Dorothy Molnar, Agnes Hashier, Clarence Marhefka, Edward Marhefka.
She was also preceded in death by Sisters: Mary Lucas and Mildred Marhefka, and Brothers: John Marhefka and Joseph Marhefka.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today, July 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. Where a prayer service will held on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Cecelia Roman Catholic Church, Grindstone, Pa., with the Rev. Father John Sedlak as Celebrant.
Interment will be held in the LaFayette Memorial Park.
