Anne (Plitka) Swift, 90, of Masontown, Pa., and previously from Ronco, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.

Anne… Anne (Plitka) Swift, 90, of Masontown, Pa., and previously from Ronco, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.

Anne was born on April 17, 1918, and was the last surviving sibling of four children born to Steve Plitka and Mary (Hubish) Plitka.

Anne grew up in the local area.

She moved to Brooklyn, New York, where she was employed as a Manager for a dry cleaning company.

Upon returning to Pennsylvania, she and her husband relocated to Ronco where she was employed by Ronco Manufacturing.

After retirement and the death of her husband, Anne moved to Masontown. Most recently she has been a resident at the Coville Personal Care Home in Masontown.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John “Jack” Swift, her brother, Steve “Greenie” Plitka, and her sisters, Mary Plitka Konicki and Catherine “Kay” Plitka Corcoran. Also preceding her in death were her brothers-in-law, John “Jaggers” Corcoran and Joseph “Butch” Konicki, three nephews, Stephen Plitka, Richard Corcoran and Edward Konicki, and one niece, Mary Frances Plitka Hahn.

Not having any children of her own, Anne held a special relationship with her nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed by Steve (Ina) Corcoran of Masontown, Pa., Carol Corcoran (Jim) Neff and Suzanne Corcoran (Doug) Stuckey of Florida, Catherine Corcoran (Jack) Thompson of Arizona, Gene (Jan) Plitka of Greensburg, Pa., Frances Konicki, Connie Konicki (Richard) Pines, Joe (Priscilla) Konicki, Mary Ann Konicki McCarthy and Albert (Rose) Konicki all of Florida and Doris Konicki Courtney of Texas. She is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and her sister-in-law, Neva Plitka.

Family and Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Thursday, June 5, 2008, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Services will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kelley officiating.

A Private Burial Service will be held at a later date.
