German Twp. Fire set

State police said a small wooden shed located at the intersection of Flinn Avenue and Meadow Street in Ronco was intentionally set on fire around 1:45 a.m. Sunday. Police said the shed belonged to Lisa Johnson of Ronco. Anyone with information about the fire and any other fires in the Ronco area is asked to call Trooper James L. Garlick at the state police barracks in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.

Teenager charged

State police said a 15-year-old New Kensington boy was charged with receiving stolen property after the all-terrain vehicle he was driving was involved in a three-vehicle crash on York Run Road near Township Drive at 6:20 p.m. May 25. Police said the ATV had allegedly been stolen from Bridgeport, W.Va., in 1989.

Man cited

City police said Steven D. Thurmond, 27, of Connellsville was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an incident at the intersection of Gordon and Connellsville streets at 4:12 p.m. Sunday.

Woman injured

State police said Mary E. Baughman, 50, of Scottdale suffered moderate injuries when the vehicle she was driving crashed into a wall at the intersection of Broadford Road and Kings Road at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Redstone Twp.

Home burglarized

State police said the Third Street home of Richard Grooms of Allison was burglarized between 9:30 p.m. Friday and 3:15 a.m. Saturday, noting that jewelry, cash and electronic devices were stolen.

Sign damaged

A stop sign at the intersection of Buena Vista Road and Zitney Road was damaged, state police said, noting that the damage was reported at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Redstone Twp.

Altercation reported

State police said an altercation involving John Sullivan Jr. of Fairbank and Joseph Suba III of Republic occurred at 5 p.m. Sunday in Fairbank. Police said Sullivan allegedly hit Suba in the face and that Suba allegedly threatened Sullivan. Both men were cited for harassment, police said.

Warrants issued

Southwest Regional police said two arrest warrants were issued for George A. Roberts Jr., 48, address unknown, after Roberts allegedly violated a protection from abuse order during an incident that occurred at 105 Third Street in Coal Center at 12:58 a.m. Friday. Police said Roberts is wanted on indirect criminal contempt charges and for unlawful restraint and criminal trespass charges.

Charges pending

State police said driving under the influence charges are pending against a 27-year-old Mount Pleasant woman who was involved in a one-vehicle crash on Prittstown Road at 2:20 p.m. Thursday. Police allege the woman was under the influence of medicine and that she was unable to safely operate the vehicle, which resulted in the crash.

Woman injured

State police said Lacey R. Fotta, 29, of Hopwood suffered minor injuries when vehicles driven by Fotta and Ethel V. Custer, 63, of Hopwood collided at the intersection of Hopwood-Coolspring Road and Victoria Avenue at 10:20 a.m. Saturday. Fotta was taken by ambulance to Uniontown Hospital, police said.

Money stolen

Tiffany J. Dunn, 18, of Hibbs reported money was stolen from her First Street residence between 8:28 and 10:20 p.m. Saturday, state police said.

Information sought

State police are investigating an incident that occurred when four to five boys entered an East Main Street residence through an unlocked second story window around 11:15 p.m. Saturday. Police said the boys left the residence after a brief time and were seen running toward the intersection of New Salem Road and Church Street. While they were running one of the juveniles allegedly hit a 13-year-old boy on the right side with a piece of wood, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the state police barracks in Uniontown at 724-439-7111.

Vehicle damaged

Timothy Frazee, 20, of Hopwood reported his vehicle was damaged Sunday while parked at a location on Coolspring-Jumonville Road, state police said.

Burglary reported

Larry R. Ruffner of Champion reported his 1662 Indian Creek Valley Road home was burglarized between 6 p.m. Oct. 5 and 6 p.m. May 18, state police said, noting various items and money was stolen.

Trailer stolen

State police said a trailer belonging to Pamela Smith of Uniontown was stolen from D’Amico’s Auto Parts between 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday.

Window broken

Michael Allison of Uniontown reported a window was broken out of his 5 Truman St. residence between 2 p.m. May 25 and 10 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Vehicle damaged

State police said a window was broken out of a vehicle belonging to William Conners of Uniontown while the vehicle was parked at 30 Leslie St. between 4 and 9:30 am. Sunday.

Mailbox broken

Dolores Savage of Uniontown reported her mailbox was broken between 9 p.m. Saturday and 6:30 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Vehicle stolen

A vehicle belonging to Pamela Kay Wable, 53, of Uniontown was stolen from 1062 Farm Road between midnight and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, state police said.

Dirt bikes stolen

State police said a 2006 Yamaha dirt bike and a 2007 Yamaha dirt bike, both blue and white, were stolen from 1426 Indian Creek Valley Road between 11 a.m. Saturday and noon Sunday. Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to call the state police barracks in Uniontown at 724-439-7111 and reference incident number B04-1647788.

Man arrested

Michael Phillips, 19, of New Freeport was arrested and charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking after he allegedly caused a disturbance outside of 312 Tollgate Run Road in Greene County at 1:45 a.m. Monday, state police said.

Man charged

State police said John Stage of Spraggs was charged with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found walking down the middle of West Run Road in Greene County at 5:45 p.m. Sunday.

Charges pending

State police said harassment and criminal mischief charges are pending against a 37-year-old Waynesburg man who allegedly punched a 53-year-old Spraggs woman in the back and punched the windshield of her vehicle, shattering it. Police said the altercation occurred at a location on West Run Road in Greene County at 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

Dirt bike found

State police said a small dirt bike was found in a wooded area behind the Bobtown Post Office in Greene County at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Anyone wishing to claim the dirt bike can call the state police barracks in Waynesburg at 724-627-6151.

Two charged

State police said drug-related charges were filed against Jennifer M. Lahn, 34, of Pittsburgh and Erica N. Zechender, 19, of Pittsburgh after a small amount of marijuana was found in the ashtray of their vehicle while the vehicle was parked at SCI-Greene on Progress Drive in Greene County around 11:15 a.m. May 23.

Medication stolen

Mark Kerik of Republic reported prescription medication was stolen from his Redstone Township residence between Friday and Sunday, state police said.
