Robert Lee Jordan Jr., age 35, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as… Robert Lee Jordan Jr., age 35, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as a result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born January 28, 1973 in Hampton, VA.
Rob was a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School class of 1991 and was employed as a corrections officer at SCI, Pittsburgh. He was an avid hunter and camper. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his sons and their involvement in wrestling, and watching daughter Prissy’s acrobatics.
He loved his pets: Buddy, Annie, and Mojo; singing and playing his guitar; and exploring the open road on his motorcycle.
Rob is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Melinda Sue Winning Jordan; two sons: Zachary and Elijah; one daughter, Sarah; his parents, Robert “Doc” and Rose Marie Ross Jordan; sister, Melissa Jordan Albright and nephews: Caleb and Gabriel; in-laws James and Hilda Winning; brother-in-law, Brent Winning and Erin; sister-in-law, Jamie Coleman and Alan and niece Ellarie; paternal grandmother, Kate Kennedy Welker, and maternal grandfather “Pappy Joe” Ross. He will also be sadly missed by many special aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his beloved maternal grandmother, “Meem” Annette Ross Melrose; paternal grandfather, J.C. Jordan and step-grandfather John Welker.
Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today, June 5, 2008, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm; Friday, June 6 until 1 p.m., the hour of service in the funeral home with Rev. Lee Maley officiating.
Interment will follow in Saint Rita’s Cemetery, Connellsville, Pennsylvania.
