Information available to landowners on gas leasing”Gas Leasing and Development: A Workshop for Landowners,’ will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the Yost Auditorium (room 114) in the Howard J. Burnett Center, Washington and Jefferson College, Washington.
The workshop will cover general leasing information, ownership concerns, and environmental impacts with regard to natural gas or coalbed methane leasing and development. Private consultations will be held with area attorneys working on oil and gas issues. These consultations, which will last 15 minutes each, are available by reservation (first come, first serve) and are free. The agenda will be as follows: 6:30 p.m., introductions; 6:35 p.m. informal presentation; 7:15 p.m., general question and answer session; and 7:45 p.m., private consultations.
The Center for Coalfield Justice in conjunction with the Mountain Watershed Association and Citizen’s for Pennsylvania’s Future (PennFuture) are holding the landowner’s workshop to discuss gas leasing and development.
