Charges to be filed State police said a 26-year-old Carmichaels woman and an 18-year-old Merrittstown man each will be charged with possession of marijuana following an incident at a location in Cumberland Township at 2:45 a.m. May 25.

Man charged

Bobby Joe Scott, 28, of Greensboro was charged with simple assault after he allegedly punched his mother-in-law, Linda Pauley, also of Greensboro, in the face during an argument at a home on Rocky Run Road in Dunkard Twp. at 11 a.m. May 24, state police said.

Electronics stolen

State police said a Sony digital camera, a portable DVD player and a JVC video camera owned by Jayan Keller of Waynesburg were stolen from a residence at Mountainview Gardens in Franklin Twp. sometime between May 22-23.

Charges pending

State police said charges of driving under the influence of alcohol are pending against a Carmichaels man following a traffic stop on Rt. 21 in Monongahela Twp. at 2:10 a.m. May 23.

Money missing

State police said money was reported missing from the First Assembly of God Church in Eastview.

The alleged theft was reported at 8:15 a.m. May 27, police said. The investigation continues.

Crash reported

State police said vehicles driven by Robert D. Thomas, 62, of Glen Easton, W.Va., and Daniel P. Tustin, 50, of Waynesburg were involved in a collision on Rt. 19 in Franklin Twp. at 7:35 a.m. May 27.

Retail theft

State police said Marcus Dulik, 20, of Nemacolin was cited for retail theft after allegedly giving customers merchandise without charging them at Dollar General in Cumberland Twp. at 5:30 p.m. May 26.

Monument damaged

State police said sometime between 9 p.m. May 29 and 10:30 a.m. May 30 someone damaged a veterans’ memorial monument on Center St. in Clarksville Borough. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact State Police at Waynesburg at 724-627-6151.

Man cited

Michael Oshetsky, age unknown, of Greensboro was cited for harassment after allegedly initiating a physical altercation with a Greensboro woman at a residence on Presock Rd. in Dunkard Twp. at 11:25 p.m. May 29, state police said.

Assault reported

State police said Enrico W. Depetris, 28, of Waynesburg was arrested for simple assault following an alleged physical confrontation with 26-year-old Waynesburg woman at a residence on Higgins Cemetery Rd. in Jackson Twp. at 8:25 p.m. May 29.

Two-car collision

State police said vehicles driven by Sharon R. Stover, 64, of Waynesburg and Jeremy M. Perry, 16, of Bobtown were involved in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in a parking lot in Franklin Twp. at 12:38 p.m. May 30. One of two passengers in Perry’s vehicle, 35-year-old Carolyn Perry, sustained minor injuries in the accident, police said.

Man arrested

Michael Phillips, 19, of New Freeport was arrested and charged with public drunkenness and underage drinking after he allegedly caused a disturbance outside a Tollgate Run Road in Franklin Twp. at 1:45 a.m. June 2, state police said.

Man charged

State police said John Stage of Spraggs was charged with public drunkenness after he was allegedly found walking down the middle of West Run Road in Center Twp. at 5:45 p.m. June 1.

Charges pending

State police said harassment and criminal mischief charges are pending against a 37-year-old Waynesburg man who allegedly punched a 53-year-old Spraggs woman in the back and punched the windshield of her vehicle, shattering it. Police said the altercation occurred at a location on West Run Road in Morris Twp. at 2:15 p.m. June 1.

Dirt bike found

State police said a small dirt bike was found in a wooded area behind the Bobtown Post Office in Dunkard Twp. at 2:30 p.m. May 31. Anyone wishing to claim the dirt bike can call the state police barracks in Waynesburg at 724-627-6151.

Two charged

State police said drug-related charges were filed against Jennifer M. Lahn, 34, of Pittsburgh and Erica N. Zechender, 19, of Pittsburgh after a small amount of marijuana was found in the ashtray of their vehicle while the vehicle was parked at SCI-Greene on Progress Drive in Franklin Twp. around 11:15 a.m. May 23.

Home entered

Karen Seals of Newton Falls, Ohio, reported a home belonging to her that is located on Washington St. in Jefferson Borough was ransacked between 4 p.m. Feb. 26 and 2 p.m. May 27, state police said, noting that nothing was stolen from the residence.

Charges to be filed

State police said retail theft charges are pending against a 34-year-old Ohio man who allegedly stole gasoline from Sheetz service station in Waynesburg at 2:59 a.m. May 28.

Citation filed

The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement said it issued a citation against Pizza Hut in Waynesburg for allegedly serving alcoholic beverages to minors April 16.

Charges to be filed

State police said charges of driving under the influence and possession of a small amount of marijuana will be filed against a 30-year-old Waynesburg man following a traffic stop on Rt. 2026 in Franklin Twp. at 2:02 a.m. June 1.
