Wanetta “Mae” Caton, age 87, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in Kamp’s Personal Care Home, Markleysburg.

… Wanetta “Mae” Caton, age 87, of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2008, in Kamp’s Personal Care Home, Markleysburg.

She was born April 6, 1921, in Markleysburg, Pa., daughter of Nora Savage Fisher.

“Mae” was a member of The Markleysburg Church of The Brethren.

She was predeceased by her mother, her husband, Thomas P. Caton, a son, Ross Caton, and three brothers, Leaman Fisher, Dorsie Fisher Jr. and Millard Fisher.

Surviving are her daugher, Winnie “Sis” Hager Bankhead and husband Bob of Farmington, Pa.; two brothers and two sisters: Louella Fike and Roland “Pete” Fisher both of Friendsville, Maryland, Delores Sliger of Markleysburg, Pa., and Roger Fisher of Streetsboro, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Thomas Hager and wife Stacie, Jeffrey Hager, Todd Hager, Christa Hager, Laverne Caton and wife Kathy, Rodney Caton and wife Candy, Lisa Caton; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; special cousins, Gladys Moore, Joe Moore and Olive Calvert, and a special friend, Scott Gibson, all of Morgantown, West Virginia.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. (Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9).

Visitation will continue on Monday, June 9, 2008, in MARKLEYSBURG CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN from noon until 1 p.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Charles Teets officiating.

Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
