Blaze damages New Geneva home

SPRINGHILL TWP. – A fire Monday morning damaged a home on Locust Street in New Geneva, Springhill Township. According to Fayette County 911, volunteer firefighters from Point Marion battled the fire, which broke out around 1:30 a.m.

Brian Knavish of the American Red Cross said volunteers provided food and clothing to the family of three following the blaze.

Officials did not identify the family.

No one was injured.

Emergency personnel from Fairchance EMS also responded to the scene.
