Uniontown man thwarts theft

1 min read

A Uniontown man who saw someone stealing his Jeep on Monday morning gave chase and thwarted the theft, according to state police. When Paul Kurosky, 45, saw someone pull away from 554 North Gallatin Ave. in his Jeep, he jumped into another vehicle and chased the man, according to a release from Trooper Adam Hooks.

Kurosky chased the man from his North Union Township home, through Uniontown and onto Fairview Street, where the man got out of the Jeep and fled, Hooks said.

The would-be thief wasn’t caught, police said.

Hooks indicated that the man used keys that were inside the Jeep to start it around 11:45 a.m.
