Announcements: USA CHAPTER OF AHMADIYYA MUSLIM COMMUNITY (AMC) is sponsoring its 60th annual convention June 20-22 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg. Several thousand U.S. Muslims are expected to attend. The AMC spans over 180 countries and has a worldwide membership exceeding tens of millions. It was founded in 1880 by Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian, whose message was to end religious wars, condemn bloodshed and reinstitute morality, justice and peace. A highlight to the three-day gathering is a special welcoming and interactive session for guests and dignitaries on June 21 from 3:30 to 6 p.m.

WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA DISTRICT OF THE CHURCH OF THE BRETHREN announces the calling of Abby R. Mader of Windber, Pa., to the newly created position of district children/youth ministries coordinator. She will guide, counsel and encourage district and local church workers in matters of children and youth ministry. She will create programs in the district and work with staff at Camp Harmony in Hooversville, Pa. A licensed minister, Mader is a 2001 graduate of Windber Area High School and a 2005 graduate of Grove City College with a bachelor’s degree in history education.
