“Kay” Kathryn Ann Kennedy, 83, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Thursday morning, June 12, 2008, in the Lafayette Manor… “Kay” Kathryn Ann Kennedy, 83, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Thursday morning, June 12, 2008, in the Lafayette Manor Nursing Center.
She was born September 25, 1924, in New Salem, Pa., the daughter of the late William Kennedy and Kathryn Boylan Kennedy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marian Gannon and Jean Metcalfe.
Kay was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church and The BPW. She worked for years at the Uniontown Social Security office and after her retirement, she worked as a secretary at Saint George Maronite Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister, Lois Plaia of Satellite Beach, Florida; her brother, Bill Kennedy and wife, Nancy of Pittsburgh, Pa. and several loving nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, June 16, 2008 until 9 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as celebrant.
Interment follows in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
