David Radman, aged 80 years, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, June 19, 2008, in his home with his… David Radman, aged 80 years, a resident of Uniontown, Pa., died Thursday, June 19, 2008, in his home with his family by his side.
He was born August 31, 1927 in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Morris and Rose Gurman Radman. Mr. Radman was a graduate of Uniontown High School, class of 1945. Upon graduation he entered the U.S. Army and was a medic during his time of service.
After his discharge, he attended Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He then entered into business with his father, Morris’ Men’s and Young Men’s Store, where he eventually became sole proprietor. He was also owner of the real estate firm, Houses Radman.
Mr. Radman was a member and board member of Tree of Life Synagogue, a member of B’nai B’rith, a member of the board of the Uniontown Jewish Community Center. and an avid supporter of the Uniontown YMCA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Dr. Sidney Freund of Uniontown.
He is survived by his three children: Allan Radman and wife, Meg of Aptos, Calif., Eric Radman and wife, Renee of Mercer Island, Wash., and Risa Koby and husband, Chuck of Louisville, Ky.; six grandchildren; a brother, Milton Radman and wife, Janet of Latrobe, Pa., a sister, Betty Jane Zall and husband, Howard of Miami, Fla. and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the J. HARRY JOHNSTON FUNERAL HOME, 65 North Gallatin Ave, Uniontown, Pa., Sunday, June 22, 2008 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. the hour of service with Rabbi Sarah Perman officiating.
Interment in Holy Society Cemetery, Hopwood, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tree of Life Synagogue, Uniontown YMCA, Diabetes Foundation or a charity of your choice.
