Marjorie Jean Langley, age 91, of Uniontown died, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at home. She was born May 3, 1917… Marjorie Jean Langley, age 91, of Uniontown died, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at home. She was born May 3, 1917 in Filbert, Pa., the daughter of Floyd Lilley and Elizabeth Fuller Lilley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Langley in 1999, a son, Keith Langley, and two sisters, Marian Satterfield and Dorothy Adams.

Marjorie graduated from Redstone High School and California Teacher’s College with a Master’s degree in elementary education. She was a teacher with the Laurel Highlands School District for 30 years. She was a member of the Retired Teachers of the PSEA and FSEA and an active member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Grindstone where she was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher for many years.

Marjorie is survived by three sons: Gregg Langley and wife, Karen of Grindstone, Jeff Langley and wife, Paula, and Trent Langley both of Uniontown; a daughter-in-law, Wanda Langley of Grindstone; six grand-children: five great-grandchildren; a brother, William Lilley of Grindstone, and a sister, Arlene Girod of Springfield, Va.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 20, 2008.

Visitation will continue on Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 9 until 10 a.m., followed by a service celebrating Marjorie’s life at 10 a.m. with the Reverend James R. Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
