Waynesburg church to host unique children’s camp
Are humans the result of a cosmic accident? Did we evolve from monkeys? What about the human body? Could a design so complex be the result of random chance? According to David Crowe, pastor of Greene Community Church in Waynesburg, these are not your typical questions that children will consider at a children’s camp. Then again, “Eye Spy is not your typical children’s camp.”
Hosted by Greene Community Church, open to the community (ages three to finished sixth grade) and held at Waynesburg Central Elementary School, “Eye Spy” will take its “Special Agent” campers on a journey that will zero-in on the incredible design of the human body.
The camp is also unique in that it was created by those within Greene Community Church – from the logo to the curriculum and interactive video introduction. Each evening’s mission opens with a special video assignment by Special Agent 139:13-16 (played by Dave Bell) as he and the other special agents help Tommy (played by Braxton McCollum) and Christina (played by Hannah Boettinger) unveil the answer to one of life’s most complex questions: Are humans the result of the Creator God, or random chance?
“It’s really going to be a very unique, high-energy camp that will thoroughly teach the children, not only what God’s Word says but what science has revealed about the human body,” Crowe said.
The camp will be held June 22-26 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly and will be limited to the first 200 children to enroll.
To watch a 40-second preview video of the camp and to register online, parents should visit www.greenecommunitychurch.org. They may also call the church at 724-852-3138.
