Police seek driver who hit child in Dunbar Township

By The 1 min read

State police are looking for the driver of a car that hit an 11-year-old child in Dunbar Township on Monday and then left the scene. In a release, Trooper Scott A. Williams indicated that Xavier A. Kozakovsky of Leisenring didn’t stop while on foot at the intersections of Store and East Broadway streets around 1:45 p.m. and “collided” with the female driver’s car.

Police said Kozakovsky fell to the ground about three feet from where he was hit and sustained injuries of an unknown severity.

Police said the driver of the car headed northbound.

She is described as either a younger white woman with blonde hair or an older white woman with gray hair.

She was driving a white compact car with dark-tinted windows, police said. Williams noted that the car may have sustained damage to its right rear quarter panel.

Anyone with information can call police at 724-439-7111.
