Molanie Chandler Sledge, 86, of Oliver One, Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2008, in the UPMC… Molanie Chandler Sledge, 86, of Oliver One, Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2008, in the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born May 1, 1922, to Dewitt and Hattie Chandler in Sumter, South Carolina.
Molanie was preceded in death by her Parents, by her Husband, Benjamin Sledge, and by her Sons, Gary Tracy and Benjamin Sledge.
She is survived by her Children: Ryland Sledge, Cheryl Jessup, Marvin Tracy, Michael Sledge, Elliott Sledge, Aaron Sledge, Dale Sledge and Martin Sledge; 20 Grandchildren; 26 Great Grandchildren; and a host of Cousins, Nieces, Nephews, other Relatives and Friends.
Friends will be received at the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main Street, Uniontown, Pa., today from 5 to 9 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 24, at 11 a.m. in MOUNT CALVARY BAPTIST CHURCH on Route 857, Fairchance, Pa. The Rev. Robert Crable will officiate.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
