Wal-Mart workers return to work

1 min read

Wal-Mart Supercenter on Matthew Drive in South Union Township was evacuated for about an hour Tuesday morning after several people in the store reported smelling gas, officials said. Phillip Keene, a spokesman for Wal-Mart, said the store was temporary closed as local authorities checked the store for any potential problems. “The safety and security of our customers and associates is a top priority at Wal-Mart. As a precaution the Uniontown store was evacuated at approximately 10:45 for about one hour,” Keene said. Officials said no gas leaks were found.
