Building struck
No injuries were reported when an 81-year-old man drove through a brick wall and into the Dollar General store on North Eighth Street at about 10 a.m. Saturday, city police said.
The accident occurred after the man backed out of a parking space, struck another vehicle and then “panicked” and put the vehicle into drive and drove into the building, city police said.
Police said the vehicle sustained minor damage and the building and contents sustained extensive damage.

Furniture stolen
Black leather living room furniture was stolen from a location at Tuskegee Terrace between 4 and 8 p.m. Thursday, state police said.
The owner is Amanda Drake, 20, of Uniontown. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-439-7111.

Traffic accident
One person was injured in an accident at 3457 County Club Road at 12:23 p.m. Friday, state police said.
A vehicle driven by Kathy S. Eutsey, 58, of Scottdale and a motorcycle driven by Jeffrey Forsythe, 45, of Connellsville collided, police said, and the motorcycle slid onto its right side and skidded into a lawn. Forsythe was thrown from his bike and was taken by ambulance to Highlands Hospital in Connellsville for treatment, according to police, who noted he was wearing a helmet.
Police said Eutsey’s vehicle was not damaged, and Forsythe’s bike sustained moderate damage.

Wire taken
About 40 feet of copper wiring was taken from a home at 1500 Wharton Furnace Road between 3 p.m. May 27 and 9:30 a.m. Friday, state police said.
Someone entered the home of Cal James Kreger, 24, of Mayville, Mich., and took the wire.

Car burglarized
A vehicle at 164 Hustosky Road was broken into and items were taken from inside it between 11:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, state police said.
Police said the passenger window of the vehicle was broken for the thieves to gain access. The owner is Amanda Emily Albright, 25, of Dunbar.

Vehicle stolen
A 1990 Plymouth Acclaim was reported stolen from outside a home on Graff Street early Saturday, state police at Belle Vernon said.
The owner is Stephen Sulkowski of Everson.

Three arrested
Three Everson men were arrested for theft following an incident in which steel and aluminum was taken from Mars Pet Care Tuesday, state police at Belle Vernon said.
Police said the incident began when Jeffrey Allen Blystone, 41, and Christopher Shane Showman, 23, allegedly took $2,980 worth of steel and aluminum items from the business. David Paul Blystone, 42, then allegedly drove his truck to the location of the items, and they were all loaded in David Blystone’s truck.
Police said the three men then took the metal materials to a local scrap yard and turned them in for cash. All three men were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Randy Abraham and placed in the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $25,000 straight bond, police said.

Harassment reported
A 32-year-old Waynesburg man was accused of threatening Kevin Kishel, 29, after arriving at Kishel’s First Street residence in Allison at 3:15 p.m. Thursday, state police said.
