March 22, 2008 Clinic scheduled
Fayette Friends of Animals, a no-kill shelter, will hold a rabies clinic and take photos of pets on Saturday, April 5, at Rolling Hills Veterinary Clinic in Smock.
Veterinarian Tanya Fronczek will administer the vaccinations. The rabies clinic will run from noon to 2 p.m. There is a charge for rabies and distemper vaccinations. There also will be a charge for micro-chipping for cats and dogs.
Call 724-245-9717 to make an appointment for the pet photos. There will be a reservation fee for photos.
All proceeds will benefit the shelter’s homeless animals.
Smorgasbord set
An all-you-can-eat smorgasbord will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 29 in the social auditorium of the Philip G. Cochran United Methodist Church in Dawson. There will be two meats, assorted potatoes, noodles, vegetables, salads, rolls and desserts. The price is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children 6 to 10 years of age. Audition workshop slated
The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra is sponsoring a learning opportunity for young musicians with an audition workshop from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. March 29 at Heinz Hall.
The seminar will feature demonstrations and presentations by members of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra audition panel and attendees will then be encouraged to play for the coaches. Attendees will receive immediate feedback from the audition panel.
