Eva Jean (Cole) Niner, 93 years, of Charlotte, N.C., and formerly a longtime resident of Hopwood, Pa., passed away on… Eva Jean (Cole) Niner, 93 years, of Charlotte, N.C., and formerly a longtime resident of Hopwood, Pa., passed away on April 29, 2008, and went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
She was born April 15, 1915, in Mutual, Pa., daughter of the late George Emmett Cole and Leila Mae Marks Cole.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Harold A. “Dutch” Niner and her brother, Ray D. Cole.
She attended the Church of the Open Door in Connellsville, Pa.
Surviving are her children: Lawrence J. Niner and wife, Nancy of Davidson, N.C., and Donna K. Coburn of Alberton, Mont.; grandchildren: Daphnea Solomon and husband, Ronald, Kimberly Pierson and husband, David, Natalie Treichel and husband, Luke, Jennifer A. Coburn and Erica C. Coburn; great-grandchildren: Hayden Solomon, Alec Pierson, Adam Pierson and Madison Treichel; two sisters: Sara C. Barnes of Uniontown, Pa., and Eleanor M. McDaniel of Laurel, Md.; and nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, May 2, 2008, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Services begin at 1:00 p.m. with her pastor, the Rev. Wade L. Kuhlewind officiating
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
