Local briefs
Drug raid set Brownsville Area School District conducted a pre-arranged drug raid at the high school Wednesday morning, and Acting Superintendent Harry Miale said that the administration was proud to announce that no drugs or drug paraphernalia had been found.
He said the task force brings in the K-9 unit once each year, and the administration does not ever allow the students to know when that time will be. When the task force arrives, students are kept in their classrooms until the search is complete. Miale said the administration and faculty congratulated the students after nothing had been found and everyone resumed normal activities.
