Don’t you just love the weekends? The work week is nearing its end, and you get two days of pure relaxation. Or in my case, two days of non-stop running around. That’s why I took a half day today.
But, if your weekend has some free time, maybe think about stopping at one of our Great Places that we’ve showcased so far on Spin It.
There is just so much history and culture right in our backyard, sometimes it’s actually easy to miss. This weekend I looked at Fort Necessity Battlefield, which I visited last summer for the first time in 25 years. It’s hard to believe that you drive past something so many times over the course of many years and not even realize that it’s there.
So make sure you check out the lead story on Spin It, and maybe take a drive up the hill this weekend.
Or, if you are in the mood for rocking out this weekend, check out the Exposure Music Festival at Mr. Smalls Funhouse in Millvale on Saturday. There will be several local bands performing including Lost Dreams in a Living Nightmare and Missus Suspicious.
