She… Sara Kathryn Porter Clawson, age 87, of Dunbar, Pennsylvania, died Friday, May 2, 2008, in LaFayette Manor, Uniontown, Pa.

She was born October 13, 1920, in Dunbar, Pennsylvania, daughter of Alexander Porter and Ella Hardy Porter.

Sara was a member of Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church, the Church Choir and The Franklin Quilters, former pianist of the church and past President of the Good Samaritan’s Class.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Herbert J. Clawson.

Surviving are two Sons: Dale Clawson and his wife Junie, Dunbar, Pa., and Robert Clawson and wife Jean, Taos, New Mexico; eight Grandchildren: Hayley Dally and husband Ed, Derek Clawson, Tommy Clawson and wife Kim, Wesley Clawson, Katy Lambie and husband, Scott, Molly Clawson, Shane Clawson, and Bethany Britton and husband Donald; and six Great Grand-children: Gracie, Sydney, Reagan and Rachel Dally, Timmy and Ethan Clawson.

Visitation today (Saturday, May 3) from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday, May 4, from Noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa.

Visitation continues in FRANKLIN MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Dunbar, Pa., on Monday, May 5, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Services begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeffrey Popson officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
