Melissa Anne Anderson, age 24, of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly Saturday, May 3, 2008, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.,… Melissa Anne Anderson, age 24, of Carmichaels, Pa., died unexpectedly Saturday, May 3, 2008, in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., of complications from surgery.
She was born September 25, 1983, in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Melissa was a very special young woman who touched many lives and left a lasting impression on all she met.
She graduated from Carmichaels Area High School, Class of 2002.
Melissa was a Junior at Waynesburg University.
She was a loving Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Niece and a Friend to many.
Surviving are her Mother, Deborah Bizub Anderson; two Brothers: Johnathan Buttermore and his wife, Amie, and Matthew Anderson, and Nephews, Robbie Buttermore and Jacob Buttermore, all of Carmichaels, Pa.; and her Paternal Grandparents, Kay and Shirley Anderson of Fredericktown, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Charles and Margaret Bizub.
She was loved by all the following Aunts and Uncles: Dorothy Herbik and family, Chuck and Mary Bizub and family, and Bob and Judy Bizub and family all of Ohio, Jean Lewandowsky and Sons, Bob and Susan Kinstlich and family all of Pennsylvania, and Rudy and Judy Zelznak and family in Florida. She will be sadly missed by Kevin Rohland and all her Special Friends; and also by her Cat, Sydney James.
Friends will be received in the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., Paul M. Lesako, Funeral Director/Supervisor, today from 7 to 9 p.m., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 7, 2008, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church, Nemacolin, Pa., with Reverend Father John Bauer as the Celebrant.
Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Crucible, Pennsylvania.
Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home today at 7:30 p.m.
