William R. Snyder, 84, of Acton, Maine, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his home.
He was born January… William R. Snyder, 84, of Acton, Maine, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his home.
He was born January 10, 1924 in Amend, Pa. He was a retired Construction Field Accountant.
William was a United States Marine veteran of World War II, having served in the Fighting 4th Marines.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Mihalic Snyder; a son, William R. Snyder, Jr., and a daughter, Sharon V. Jackson; four sisters: Amelia Novak, Gertrude Pensock, Dorothy Kashary and Ruth Skobel.
Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, 15 Main Street, Thomas B. Rudolph, Funeral Director and Supervisor, today, Friday, May 9, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m.
On Saturday, May 10, Brief Prayers will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in ST. HUBERT ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, Point Marion, with the Reverend Father Andrew Kawecki as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, New Geneva. Full military rites will be accorded at the gravesite by the American Legion Post No. 499 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 747 of Point Marion.
