Kenneth “Kenny” David Garbart, Jr., 73, of Kingwood, West Virginia, died Saturday May 10, 2008, surrounded by his loving family.

… Kenneth “Kenny” David Garbart, Jr., 73, of Kingwood, West Virginia, died Saturday May 10, 2008, surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 16, 1934, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, “Kenny” was the Son of Kenneth David Garbart Sr. and Dorothy Ellen Glisan Garbart.

“Kenny” was a loving husband, father and grandfather!

He was employed by Inter-national Union of Operating Engineers Local 132 as a heavy equipment operator for 50 years.

He was a member of the West Virginia Preston Grande Masonic Lodge 90, also The Knights of Pythias, The Order of Eastern Star Chapter 127 in Rowlesburg, West Virginia, and Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department.

“Kenny” was also a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Kingwood.

He was preceded in death by his Parents and a Brother-in-Law, Lloyd Bolinger Jr.

“Kenny” is survived by his Wife, Thelma Jean Christopher Garbart, with whom he would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in August; Daughter, Julie Ann Garbart Feather and husband Larry; a Son, Christopher David Garbart and wife Christina; Grandchildren: Matthew Feather, Alyssa Feather, Lyndsey Garbart, Mary Katherine Garbart and James Garbart; one Sister, Katherine “Kitty” Bolinger of Bayse, Virginia; two Brothers: Robert and wife Marilyn of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and John and Christina of Sykesville, Maryland; nine Nieces and Nephews; Mother-in-Law, Virginia Christopher; Sisters-in-Law and Brothers- in-Law: Patty and Hubert Bauer and Linda and Carlus Mayne.

Family and Friends will be received at the BROWNING FUNERAL HOME, 201 East Main Street, Kingwood, WV 26537 (304-329-0600) today, May 12, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, May 13, 2008, from 4 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, with Reverend David Ernest officiating.

Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Kingwood where Masonic Rites will be conducted by Preston Lodge 90 A.F. & A.M.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care Corporation, Post Office Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520.
