Janet Marie Dillow, 76, of Haydentown, Smithfield, Pa., passed away with her loving family by her side on Sunday, May… Janet Marie Dillow, 76, of Haydentown, Smithfield, Pa., passed away with her loving family by her side on Sunday, May 11, 2008, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. and went to be with her Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
She was born August 23, 1931, in Georges Township, Pa., daughter of the late Wilbur Miller and Marie Moats Miller.
Janet was a very active and lifetime member of the Haydentown Christian Church and the Haydentown Community Center.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 59 years, Ernest V. Dillow; daughters: Janet Newcomer and husband, Donald of Winchester, Va. and Sharon Layhue and husband, Bill of Smithfield, Pa.; grandchildren: Dianna Tate and husband, James, David Myers, Bill Layhue, Jr. and wife, Christie and Josh Layhue and wife, Anne-Marie; great-grandchildren: Dylan, Caden, Ethan and Gavin Tate, Madison and Mason Layhue; sisters: Arlene Ellsworth, Smithfield, Pa. and Betty Harvey, Fairchance, Pa.; brother-in-law, Alpheus Dillow, Uniontown, Pa.; sisters-in-law: Sara Braddee, Haydentown, Pa., and Linda McCoy, Fairchance, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday, May 15, 2008 until 10 a.m. the hour of service with Pastor Ken Walls and Pastor Steve Baker officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
