Man acquitted A Dickerson Run man was acquitted of all charges following a trial in Fayette County Court.

John Vincent Orr, 50, was charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and aggravated indecent assault after he allegedly assaulted a minor on May 14, 2007.

This was the second time Orr went to trial in the case. In January, a judge declared a mistrial when jurors could not reach a verdict.

Judge Steve P. Leskinen, who presided over last week’s trial, entered an order Monday releasing Orr from the county prison, where he has been held since his arrest.

Man sentenced

A 22-year-old Connellsville man was sentenced to a year of probation for impersonating a police officer.

Earlier this month, Fayette County Judge Steve P. Leskinen also sentenced Anthony Paul Odroneic to undergo a mental evaluation.

Odroneic had pleaded guilty general to impersonating a public servant. Police alleged that on April 13, 2007, he followed a woman from Uniontown to her Dunbar Township home, where he told her that she had committed numerous traffic violations.

Odroneic later told police that he followed the 19-year-old woman because she had cut him off on the road.
